I did enjoy reading this book the same way one can't stop watching soap opera or bad TV on a rainny day because there is nothing else on TV The text itself is well written the writer verbe is impressive I had to have my dictionnary handy I have to give her that she improved my vocabulary it's a novel it's fiction so if I say I didn't buy the story that will be wrong but I don't buy the story If there is a lesson to learn is that one can love two people euallybut read it folks when you have a week vacation and are staying home you will find all the ingredients of a soap opera suspence drama and sex plenty of sexEnjoy

All three books in this trilogy were the best books i've read all year possibly everWhat makes them excellent isn't so much the story which itself has it's critics regarding the content but the writing skill displayed As mentioned in other reviews these are not fluff books This author uses intelligent word play cryptic dialog literary references and intricately interwoven points of view If you are the kind of person that just likes easy reading dumbed down romance novels don't read this then give it a bad review because you aren't deep enough to grasp it's complexityBook 1 has the best writing i think I really fell in love with the way the author had us see the story one point of view at a time First i was Lydia then i was Helaine etc and as you take the form of a new character you uncover of the story that you thought was lacking from the other point of view It was so engaging to have it unfold in that manner And despite the gruesome parts it really was a heart warming love story the endBook 2 starts into a different kind of story Full of taboo and forbidden feelings and action packed drama but keeps with the same writing style I didn't think i would like the direction our love story was heading but when you get a taste of the reality of life from our new players on the scene you can't help but fall in love and feel their conflict and emotions along with them A rare and great skill of this author is her ability to turn you into each character in the book and make you feel what they feel This one is a real shocker for sure and the most emotionally torrential The way this story grabs a hold and doesn't let go is what makes it a tie for the bestBook 3 is the most different the final evolution From the intelligent romance of 1 leading into the emotional confusion and turmoil of 2 and ending with this Tsunami of drama and action This book is narrative than the others It tells the story you hear and see the action from the narrator the tv stations the spies You still have the great writing and character interactions but i felt distant from the characters in this one You will read about what happens as opposed to experience it as much as you did in the first two so i dont favor it as much but it's still 5 stars As well as being another shocker if book 2 was a roller coaster ride this one is a walk through a mine field There are few breaks from the action in this oneClosure The most important part is the way the story is wrapped up by the end of book 3Far too many books drag you along pull you in and then hit you with a one page ending that isn't believable or explained i hate being left with a lack of closureFrancine gets 6 stars for wrapping up what seemed like the impossible in an acceptable and graceful way Like another reviewer says we are left to trust that the author wont leave us hanging or leave things unexplained and she doesn'tIt's not a pretty problem free life these women face in the 20 years of their adventure they take us on and the ugly parts are not left out and nothing works perfectly But trust the author to tell this story in a way that will make you sigh with fulfillment by the end none the less
