Vague spoilers below Can't think of anything I liked about this one The mysterious 'scandal' that drives the book is ridiculous as is the eventual relatively uick resolution Honestly Deanna deserved what she got for being so gutless It all could have been resolved years prior if she'd bothered to talk to her family about it and that she then befriends the person who started the mess and everyone else also immediately forgives her also seemed a step too far Faythe was also too perfect to be true Seriously between the relatively boring characters the family dramas and the overdrawn scandal plot the book was just boring Struggled to finish it certainly won't re read it

From her neighbor which only rouses her curiosity Deanna Moore a successful illustrator has dedicated her life to her work and her family Beleagured by accusations stemming from an event she is powerless to explain or defend Deanna lives a solitar. Don't judge me I wanted to love it I really did I've liked other stories by Gun Brooke in the past But alas I couldn't Too many characters that weren't likable enough and a story that didn't really make much sense in the end Just didn't seem like how adults should handle their issues
