I can not believe this was an Amanda Ashley novel It was the worst book I've read by her ever Maybe the worse book I've read in a very long time It wasn't that the outline of the plot was terrible I mean it's silly of course but it could have been handled with humor but it was just flat and boring with no chemistry between the HH A vampire and a wizard's daughter are trapped for centuries inside two separate paintings Jason is released from the curse by Karinna They fall in love but she can't get past his being a vampireThe heat level is almost G rated Jason feels obligated to release the wizard's daughter from the curse as well Once released she realizes he doesn't love her and runs away She just so happens to run into a vampire and decides to stay with him The Wizard that cast the spell knows it was broken and sets out exact his revenge The writing was just plain terrible Too much time is spent on the two cursed people acclimating themselves to our century She describes their adjustments when the vampire is released and again when the witch is released One minute Jason doesn't help carry bags because in his time women carried and fetched so the men could keep their hands free to grab their weapons then later Jason was as always the gentleman and helped carry in the groceries I have said this many times I am not hard to please I overlook a great many things other reviewers complain about in books but this was just plain bad Very disappointed

Immortal SinsAt torments him Jason has given up hope of escape until Karinna Adams purchases the painting and unwittingly frees himAt first Jason plans only to enlist Kari's help in navigating this strange new world so he can find and punish the wizard who entrapped h. Picked this up for the theme of vampires as well as the oddly familiar scenario described on the cover Someone magically trapped inside a painting Able to move about inside it Oh yeah The movie The Witches; a beloved childhood favorite of mine Still I wanted to read this author's interpretation of the concept It could at least be comical rightWhat did I just finishFirst off the characters were flavorless with reiterated surface desires throughout The setting was ambiguous at best and downright confusing at worst This character went here bought bread drank coffee then went there and answered email Oh and showered Matter of fact descriptions of the mundane was not what I hoped forThe main protagonist was first described as someone surviving on lower income yet somehow affords pricey endeavors The vampire had no real flaws and of course was drop dead gorgeous in every sense I had trouble believing in the budding romance which felt convenient than anything based in actual loveHonestly I tried to like this book The descriptions of moving within the painting world was the only interesting aspect Otherwise I was presented with a blandly written story and characters a heroine with no depth and a vampire who fell madly in love with normalcy I could feel no real tension no urge to see the characters succeed and the plot involving the villain was nothing than an afterthought to light domestic drama
