Melodys KeyS were dead sacrificed on the noble altar of duty before they ever had a chance to live Her entire existence was disappearing into the abyss of apathy as she labored her days away keeping her family’s struggling business alive There would be n This book was sent to me by the author however that did not affect my opinion in any kind of wayIn the start we meet Tegan Lockwood beautiful and talented young girl who is helping her family with their business Lockwood Holiday She is a talented painter and loves to compose and write songs because of which she got accepted in college in NY But though to her family's financial struggles she must remain with them and help out as much as she can which is is basically shattering all her dreams One summer her life is about to change when an American pop star Mason Keane comes to her family's estate for a refuge from his chaotic life I have to say that this is such a fun summer read it has romance likable characters who are pretty well fleshed out it doesn't follow the established trope good girl that changes the bad boy and that's the thing i liked most about it Mason has his problems but he really is a good guy and I was glad that that was established from the start This book has very little teenage angst and drama ok maybe just a little another thing I really appreciate It can come out a little bit too long and slow paced especially in the middle I feel that some of the descriptions were unnecessary and that pulled me out of the story I have to say that this year I've read many YA contemporary which are famous and hyped and this one is definitely better than some of them Also I love that the author wrote all the songs in the book by himself I alway appreciate that kind of effort and talent
