FREE READ Ä Clichéd Love ¾ Vega a journalist by trade and a cynic for life came up with a brilliant pitch for a series of articles Recount the tales of lesbian and gay couples to assure the heterosexual population that the institution of marriage isn’t at risk now that gay marriage is legal Her editor loved the idea Vega loved the notion of a long term?s take on them As the interviews continue and her friendship with Iris grows Vega wonders if her lifelong cynical attitude toward love might be softening a bit NOTE This is a romance wrapped in a satire You’ll get your romance but along the way common romance themes character traits and plot points are mocked a bit or a lot If you cherish every word ever written in all your favorite lesbian romances and never once thought Oh come on That would never happen then this book isn’t for you. This book is nowhere near other books of the author Seems like there was a pressing need for writing a book and she did it There was no focal point no evolution of main characters and filled with non purposeful short stories Till the end of the book I kept wondering what the writer actually trying to say

Clichéd Love ´ E stories without wanting to hurl herself off the nearest cliff So much for her brilliant ideaBy the time she arrives in Seattle she’s already had enough of interviewing couples but she’s determined to see it through After all if the readers of a national newspaper can recognize a love story as a love story regardless of sexuality she might change a few minds out there Helping to temper the discontent is new friend Iris who seems to know everyone’s story and importantly shares Vega?. I really liked this I thought it would be sharper and brutal but it was cleverly written The characters were interesting and fun with some very different characters thrown in to spice it up What Galli does is poke fun at the idea of romance while firmly setting the main character up for a romance She does it well enough so that it doesn't feel like a romance and that is what works so well By pointing out the problems with the tropes within the genre you would think that the author would paint herself into a corner but she manages to avoid many of the traps There were a few problems the main characters could overcome with a tiny bit of communication but where's the fun in that rightI thought this was clever and fun and a different take on the genre 45 stars FREE READ Ç eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF ñ Lynn Galli

At first the interviews were pretty fun but I got tired of them fast there were so many of them and they explored so damn many romance trope I liked the meta humour Vega was a big cynic mocking the cliche couples she interviewed yet ended up falling in one of the most obvious romance trope of all friends to lovers Though to be fair Iris and Vega did went about it in a refreshing way I loved how they were always the smartest people in the room and got each other best Bad first kiss experience was unexpected but hilarious Trying to guess Iris' secret was making me crazy and the reveal was darker than I expected Knew I liked her for a reason Vega was amazing clever hilarious and straightforward I could listen to her talk all day long just as long as she is not talking aboutto the cliche couples because I've had enough of that to last a lifetime
