Secret that will change everything The people of Phoenix Holt are not what they seem In fact nothing is. I really enjoyed this book which didn't surprise me as I've read Gabriella's The Witches of The Glass Castle and that was such a wonderful bookThis story centres around a young girl Sophie in her mid teens and her two older twin brothers Sam and Todd I loved Sam but damn did I want to smack him sometimes when it came to Todd poor guyThe book starts off with them all on a train to go an live with their aunt Ness after there guardian and grandfather passed awayTurns out there's a shocking not so shocking secret that she is a descendent in a line of powerful witches and Phoenix Holt is a town that 'raises' warriors did you see that pun Don't get it Good Read the book you'll be having no spoilers from me ;DSo our young Sophie starts to bond with one of these warrior boys Jaxon and as their friendship blossoms and unfolds their attraction to each other becomes harder to ignore This was a sweet and very innocent relationship hence why I liked it so much I think far too many girls in YA books are sex crazed Sophie was a nice lovely teenager exploring a friendship with a boy and developing her first crush it was so cute if this book had cheeks I would pinch them DI think the main reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is because it all seems to happen within the space of about 4 days which is insane for the amount everyone goes through I understand it's a small book but this had the potential to be huge spanning a few weeks at the very leastBut that's just my opinion I loved the innocence and overall feel of the book but in some parts it felt a little too hurried
